Background info on "Letting the Fox out of the Bag"

There once was an interesting discussion on the Discussion Board over at High Flight about Don Karnage's heritage.  We more or less decided that funky accent was Spanish of some sort, but is he a wolf or a fox?  What if, just perhaps, he was both?  A half-breed!  *Gasp!*  Not a piece of knowledge he would like plastered on the Web, but, hey, Cap'n, don't worry, your secret's safe with us obsessive fan femmes.  Wait, that didn't sound too reassuring, did it?  Never mind. ;-)  Anyway...

Another enigma was Karnage's behavior the episode "Stuck on You."  Why was he so adamant that he not be called "crazy"?  This was obviously a sore spot, but the reason why was never revealed on the show.  My answer?  Ignacio.

Here is what I believe Don Karnage's parents and sister look like. His father Gonzalo is a wolf, his mother Lorita is a fox (in more ways than one ;-), and his sister Dolores is a fellow half-breed.  (Oh, the scandal!)
Note that his sister shares fur color and snout with their father, and a pattern of fur markings like their mother.  Don Karnage himself has his father's snout, ears and fur marking pattern, and his mother's fur color.
