INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TALESPIN CARD GAMES:
FLYING ACES
For 2 to 4 players, Ages 5 to 12
First, separate the cards into two piles: the Sea Duck cards, and the TaleSpin cards. Set the Sea Duck cards aside for the Air Show game.
The dealer shuffles the TaleSpin cards and distributes them face down to the players. Without looking at their cards, players place them facedown in a pile. Next, each player places his top card faceup in the center of the table (airplane matching airplane). The planes facing each other are engaged in an aerial dogfight. The winner of the dogfight is the player with the Sea Duck airplane, and he wins the other cards from the center of the table. These cards are then added, facedown, to the bottom of the pile. If more than one player has a Sea Duck airplane card, or if none of the players have Sea Duck airplane cards, the dogfight is an official tie.
In the case of a tie, players then draw again from their piles, place one card, faceup, over the old cards to engage in a new dogfight. Play continues until a dogfight has been won. The winner receives all of the cards played in the center of the table.
When a player loses all of his cards, he is out of the round. Play continues until all but one player is out of cards. The winner of three rounds wins the Flying Aces game!
AIR SHOW
For 2 to 4 players, Ages 5 to 12
One Player shuffles the 20 Sea Duck cards, and lays them out, Sea Duck airplane [back] up, in rows, 4 cards wide by 5 cards deep. This is the Sea Duck squadron flying in formation.
One at a time, each player turns over two cards. If the pair does not match, then the cards are turned back over (facedown). If a player remembers where pairs are hidden and turns over two cards that match, he gets to remove the cards from the squadron and keep them in his winning pile. He then takes another turn.
As pairs are matched, gaps in the Sea Duck formation must immediately be filled by moving planes (cards) forward to fill in the holes.
Players continue until the entire Sea Duck squadron has laned. The player with the most pairs wins!
